There she goes, your heart, your soul.
She told you that she loved you,
But that was over a year ago,
And since then she’s loved many others.
You say you’re holding on to what you know.
You think that you still love her.
She keeps telling you that you’ll just have to let go,
But you won’t think of it because it’s too hard.

Chorus 1

Well, I know you’re love seemed true,
But it’s only hurting you.
You’re fragile heart is turning blue.

You cried when your mother died.
You wept until the morning
As the family shared memories by the fireside,
You realized just how much you missed her.
You wish you could go back and change those times
When you let down your mother.
But it’s too late now, that thought’s not worth a dime,
You can only change the future. What’ll you do?

Spider Poem

In my minds eye
I see two strong arms
Embracing my thoughts
Of the desperate existence
Of silent spiders
Spraying me
In their silky webs
And I spin, and spin, and spin

Stuck am I
Trapped am I
Move a muscle I try
But to avail
Giving up
I relax and ponder my sticky situation
When I’m prodded, poked
I take a deep breath and cringe
As a burning sensation
Travels through my veins and takes over my body
I bite my tongue
