Of Thy Great Love

The poem doest tell
of thy great love
of he in whom she’s thinking of!
A tale so true
a mystery
abundant love for all to see!
From start to end
emotions flow
like no-one knows, like no-one knows!
She gets it right
so right I say
love lives, love breaths, love’s here to stay!
Come sway with me
till death do part
from toe to brow, from heart to heart!
So say it now
and have no fear
forever more, let’s disappear!

Just For You

Those goggles you say I wear
Baby, they were never there
The words I spoke so true
And spoken just for you
So know you this, this day
Whate’er you hear me say
Or act upon or do
I swear it’s just for you
And even more do tell
That disease that brings you hell
Does not hinder my love for you
For forever it’s just for you

I thought of you today…
I thought of you today
Those moments I’ve let slip away
How other people say
That you and I should love
But each day is not the same
Are you or I the one to blame?
Should I stay in this game?
This battle for your love!
Now we stand apart
I fear scared to let it start
Guarding our own heart
Restraining God’s pure love

A Sky for You
I up and drew a sky for you
But the sky I drew was much too blue
So then with dread I added some red
But the red, it bled, and turned purple instead
So then with a bellow I added some yellow
But the yellow did bellow and splat a poor fellow
He hooted and hollered and picked some green
And pestered and mean he splattered my screen
I sat back in disgust and said, “Oh well.”
When just one little line would do almost as well
So I thought up a line that would cause you to swoon
Of your likeness to daisies, young in mid bloom
I took a deep breath and then started to stutter
But my lips turned to ice and no words did I utter
Then grasping for one final moment of truth
I wrote you this poem, forgot the line, and then burned your sky
And then you burned this poem

Spider Poem
In my minds eye
I see two strong arms
Embracing my thoughts
Of the desperate existence
Of silent spiders
Spraying me
In their silky webs
And I spin, and spin, and spin
Stuck am I
Trapped am I
Move a muscle I try
But to avail
Giving up
I relax and ponder my sticky situation
When I’m prodded, poked
I take a deep breath and cringe
As a burning sensation
Travels through my veins and takes over my body
I bite my tongue

[Oh to feel The One has come]
Oh to feel The One has come
Then be shackled by The Stars, The Moon, and The Sun
No way to hide and no way to run
Caught between The Ticket and The Gun.
Visions of freedom with her rule my mind
In a smooth green pasture beneath the umbrella oak tree
There I lay with she, and she lay with me
I see what I see, I love what I see!
Then I phase out of fiction and stir back to life
Wanting to dig deep inside and see what was there
But The Chains jerk me back and I cry in despair
Wrists burning fire, and does she even care?

A Realization of Reality
Devastation settles in
Wounded lives begin to mend
(from) Scars so deep that still they tear
The bleeding pulp is ever there
So put to death the man inside
(and) take me on a pony ride
Into lifeless heathen wood
Exploit the bad ignore the good
Waters rage as mountains cry
A stifling stench prances by
Mountains of flowers crowd my feet
Eye me crudely, me the treat
Glinting silver rose stands tall
Shouts “Arise and fall, arise and fall”
While dainty daisies grow in weeds
Say “Spawn the truth, plant the seeds”
Trapped inside myself again
These shallow shadows sheets of sin
Set breeze to flames that burn to low
Open the gate, expose the show!
